While I am excited for this release, I am sorely disappointed and disgusted at Warner Bros. for not including an Ultimate/Extended cut version of the movie a la Batman v Superman. That appears disrespectful to Snyder for his effort into shooting this movie and toward us fans!! Seriously?!

My guess is that we’ll never see that version undortunately. I hope the powers that be learn their lesson to not rush everything for the sake of money and put the characters and story first going forward.

I wish that it had been delayed for a March release because now we have to wait until December for more DCU films.

I agree that we will never see a “Snyder cut”. And I hope it never happens. But an extended version well edited that allows more character developement probably might mitigate the feeling of watching 2 different movies…inside the same movie. I’ll skip this version for now and wait until they launch the extended version. If they don’t then I will buy the regular edition

I agree 100%, they should have just delayed the movie, if anything just to make it look better.
Tomb Raider is opening in March, they should have just put TR where ever (because that movie is going to do nothing at the box office IMO) and put JL there instead.
The box office is also much much much softer in March/April that what JL was going up against in November too.
But learning that it was put out the way it was just so they could keep a bonus, that just makes me wish it wasn’t even made then.

Yeah rushing it out to get their bonuses is the thing that irks me the most. Problems start at the top.

A few points on that. Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition was what Snyder turned in as his final version of BvS to be released to theaters. But was told to go back edit it down to 2 1/2 hours. So that’s why BvS UE was announced less than a month after BvS opened in theaters. It was already a finished product. If WB were going to release an Extended or Ultimate Edition of Justice League it would be what Whedon would have done, not Zack Snyder. The 2 hour mandate for JL came after Whedon was on board and well… Read more »

We all have to give in to the fact that there is no Snyder cut that could be anything more than an incomplete bunch of the movie scenes that are unfinished and do not make a completed movie. I believe that JossW was brought in to do re-shoots and cobble this thing together and try and give it a finished look. He did what he could with what he had to work with and that’s what we got. And that’s what the critics zeroed in on and why their right ups were all so harsh. A lot of things left… Read more »

It’s already been revealed that Whedon was brought in long before Zack had to step down. Not sure if it was a reaction to Snyder’s first draft in January of last year or not, but he was part of this well before Zack left.

Yes he was there…..BUT he was not there from the beginning with the intent of re-shooting and finishing the movie at some time. That all happened and he did what he could.

At least we’re getting at least one new Superman scene…they tease it at the end of the video clip….they show what appears to be Superman emerging from the scout ship in his costume.

As I said in a previous post somewhere.Jestice League underperformed. Reboot this DCEU series, and bring back Brandon Routh as Superman, and Christian Bale as Batman, and recast the entire Justice League.
