Superman celebrated an anniversary yesterday with April 18th marking 82 years since the publication of “Action Comics #1” in 1938.
Fans took to social media to celebrate the milestone, but a number of Superman’s arch enemies (well the actors who have played them) decided not to be so gracious.
Jon Cryer, who currently plays Lex Luthor on the “Supergirl” TV series started off by replying to a Superman Tweet by saying, “He’s not so great”.
He’s not so great👨🏻🦲 https://t.co/Kct02skNOG

Clancy Brown, who famously voiced Lex Luthor on “Superman: The Animated Series”, seconded Cryer’s statement:
Seconded… https://t.co/slrihBL37i

Michael Rosenbaum (who played Lex Luthor on the TV series “Smallville”) also chimed in.
Agreed. In fact… quite a dick.

While, Sam Witwer, who appeared as both Davis Bloom/Doomsday on “Smallville” and more recently has played Agent Liberty on “Supergirl”, extended the negative sentiments to the Man of Steel’s cousin Kara:
Also, we don’t like his cousin.
Also, aliens.

Thankfully, these naysayers were well out weighted by the overwhelming postive response towards Superman’s anniversary across social media yesterday.
Three Lex Luthors and Agent Liberty aka Davis Bloom aka Doomsday. I could ask where’s the love guys?, but knowing the history of these charters, I’m not surprised. Lol 😀
Just kidding 🙂
It’s great to see that these great actors are taking part in Superman’s anniversary and acknowledging their part in it as well.
That is awesome, I love it.
What a bunch of sore Luthors. ;P
This is awesome
