Definitely an improvement. And I look forward to giving the show a chance.
Although I will say that the best tv/film suit is still John Newton’s Superboy suit; the color scheme was perfect, and every element was in perfect proportion to everything else.
Out of the two Superboy suits I’d have to go with Gerard Christopher myself. I liked the fuller cape and larger S.
Really?! While it was definitely going for the then-current John “The Devil” Byrne (I didn’t name him that, I’m just now physically incapable of not saying “The Devil” between “John” and “Byrne”) look, I think those two elements on the show overwhelmed the rest of the suit. Incidentally, if you watch the second season episode “Nightmare Island”, when a depowered Superboy tears his suit, they switched out tops to what looks like an old Newton suit.
Well, as I’ve said in another thread I like the S to be prominent in the upper chest and not sitting too low (like you get with some t-shirts where it’s a mile away from the collar to the point where it may as well be on your stomach.) Big but not Alex Ross big (or Brandon Routh small). I didn’t like every decision Byrne made on Superman (and I realize he’s…a controversial figure.) but just talking strictly about his visual design of Superman I liked it. The only thing with Gerard’s suit is they tried a lame button attachment… Read more »
At least they fixed his cape attachment in Seasons 3 and 4, lol.
Also that reminds me to try and get a refund on those shirts I’ve ordered…
Yeah, the worse is when you don’t realize the placement is bad until after you get it home and put it on. I even had one where not only was the S really low but it was also off to one side by half an inch.
Yeah I hate it when that happens too. I had baught a Superman shirt a while ago at a Walmart and there was only two of the same kind. The first one had a major defect and the other had the S design off center by just a half inch. I went for the half inch shirt instead of the major defect. I really like the design of it even though it’s not perfect.
Just start walking with a slight lean, 2878, nobody will notice = P
Lol. I’ll end up walking like Bill Murray in the crooked hallway scene in the movie Scrooged. Ha ha ha! X-D
I definitely agree with the results of this opinion poll. While it’s not a perfect suit, it definitely is a much better suit than his last one. I believe that this is a good sign of things to come for this show. I look forward to see Superman fly on TV again soon. 🙂
