Tyler Hoechlin Returning for “Supergirl” Season 2 Finale

According to a report on Eonline.com, Tyler Hoechlin is set to return as Superman for the final episode of Season 2 of “Supergirl”.

No story details are available yet, but his presence alone should be enough to excite Supergirl fans everywhere after his first appearance on the show got rave reviews.

Fans of Hoechlin’s Superman have been wondering if he would return after the first two episodes of Season 2 of “Supergirl”. Back in January, at the Television Critics Association’s press tour, The CW President Mark Pedowitz told EW.comthat there were “no plans at the moment for him to return [to Supergirl]. If they wish to have him return, we’d love to have him.”

It seems “they”, the creators of the show, do want him to return… and I think fans are happy to have him back too.

At the time Greg Berlanti was quoted as saying, “We’d love to have Tyler back, he’s amazing, he was great in the role. In success, I think all those things are possible. I’m always the guy who says ‘yes’ if there seems to be an appetite for it and the people involved are really nice.”

Great news! I had a feeling something like this would happen following yesterday’s news regarding the return of Deathstroke and Nyssa for Arrow.

With recent BTS photos indicating an uphill battle against Rhea and her soldiers, Kara is going to need all the help she can get.

That’s great news. He’s one of the best actors to play Clark Kent/Superman in a very long time. I wish he could get his own Superman show. That I would watch every week.

Super duper news…I had to say it. Season 2 will end the way it began… with a BANG.

And also, Cat Grant, AKA Calista FLockhart will come back for the last two eps of the season.

Overall I felt so far the season has been a 2nd best to 1st season with the exception of Superman inclusion episodes. It is time for a Superman production & perhaps a Batman series too. For too long we yearn to see our fave characters on the screen & been a long time since we viewed a reasonable Superman type show such as perhaps Superboy in 80’s.

Quite a long wait to view Superman in action on the screen and even longer if (like me), you’re not a Snyder Superman fan! Luckily I’ve began comic book reading.

Their best off doing what they’re doing with him. Use him for guest appearances. If he was on this show all the time it wouldn’t take long for his appearances to be over looked. He would blend in and soon become just one of the regulars. He’s too special for that kind of end result.

Man I stayed with all the DC tv shows until the mid season break.
After that I tried to keep up with Flash and Supergirl but couldn’t.
But after 3 years of the same exact plot for Flash and a weak return for Supergirl combined with the unnecessary musical for a musical’s sake, I had to bail.
But I will be tuning into to see this…well using the CW app the next day if that counts as tuning.

These days with apps and on demand from cable and satellite outlets, it counts as tuning in.
