Rating - 4 (out of 5): Another solid installment of Krypton aired this week, reeling from the effects of last week's shocking twist, our heroes all felt the effects of Lyta-Zod's death in full force. This guilt spread throughout all facets of the series, causing Dru-Zod's rampage against Black Zero, Val-El's decision to destroy the Space Elevator, and Seg-El and company's re-acquisition of Cor-Vex. Clearly, Lyta's death was the mid-point gut-punch our characters needed to start the second half of the season.

Seg makes mention of his parent's death this week, relating it to how he could do nothing to save Lyta either, but would do anything now to save his son. I'm so glad that this was brought up again because Seg's parents were rarely spoken of since their death in the Pilot, which in many ways is a shame since something like that should have had a more profound impact on Seg-El. Yet, this week we discover that with Lyta's death, those memories have come flooding back and Seg will no longer tolerate his loved ones dying for nothing.

This being said, saving Cor-Vex from Zod was definitely one of the highlights this week, with Seg and Nyssa-Vex's plan to exchange the Codex for their son working nigh-perfectly. The downside of course being Seg giving Brainiac more control over him.

Thankfully, however, it seems that Seg and Nyssa (who I have been rooting for, for a while) will be working together to get Brainiac out of Seg's head. Both characters have come such a long way, and to see them now working together in complete trust compared to when they were bound together last season is a huge leap for them both.

Val-El made an incredibly wise choice this week, sending Jax-Ur far away from Black Zero and the resistance, even after making the harder choice of destroying their only way off Wegthor. Regardless, part of me still believes it to be possible that Jax will become more psychotic as time goes on, maybe becoming the rouge scientist we know from the comics (which again, we've seen elements of so far), but only time will tell as she seems at least vaguely remorseful for her actions against Lyta.

Lastly, Zod going after Doomsday with the Codex weapon is going to prove to be really interesting, and if we don't get a fight between the two, I'm going to be very disappointed.

All-in-all, this week was another solid week and as we only have four more episodes left, I'm excited to see how it all plays out!
