4Rating - 4 (out of 5): "I don't think he's come back to save Krypton, I think he's come back to rule it." - Jayna-Zod

Episode 8 of Krypton continues this series' tradition of increasing the intensity of events each week.

First off, it turns out Dev-Em isn't dead, which I think is a good thing. It would have been a mistake to kill him off so early in the series and I'm glad they rectified that this week.

Secondly, the introduction of Jax-Ur was smart at this point seeing as how Jax-Ur is often so vital to Kryptonian history. Glad to see this character (who is now a "she" by the way) make it to the screen. I'm interested to see this "power vacuum" be resolved between her and Dru-Zod who is clearly trying to rule Krypton himself.

Which brings us to what Jayna-Zod said at the end of this week's episode. She believed General Zod wants to take over, which fits in completely with Adam Strange's original statement that an enemy of Superman's traveled through time to change Krypton's history. This could be the conflict that puts Adam and Seg-El back on the same page, allowing them to work together once again to save Kandor.

Speaking of Adam, how this week's episode ended, with Ona being turned into a suicide bomber, was horrible. I'm honestly surprised the show decided to do something that dark, but I guess that's how Brainiac operates. It was heartbreaking to watch Kem realize that his "niece" was about to explode and not be able to do anything about it.

This sent Adam to another world/time/unclear where he encounters a strange woman who stood completely still until she moved her eyes towards him. Honestly, I'm entirely unsure of what this means but I'm anxious to figure it out!
