On the back of the announcement that DC Comics is teaming up with Walmart to distribute 100-page, over-sized comic books, we are now learning that writer Tom King and artist Andy Kubert will be getting together to write a 12-part Superman story to be included in the Walmart releases.
Titled “Up in the Sky!”, King’s first Superman story sees the Man of Steel searching the galaxy for a girl who has been kidnapped, with the Man of Steel having to decide just how far he’ll go to save a single life.
This story is scheduled to be published in “Superman Giant #3” which will be available in Walmart stores this September.

Sounds interesting. But will there be a digital release for this? I dont live in the US and would very much like to read this.
Bad move DC..making this a Wally exclusive. A lot of people boycott walmart due to their crappy customer service, cheap products, and horrible business ethics. Should have tried to get it in all over…Targets, Kmarts, Best Buys, Rite Aids, CVS’ and back in the grocery stores. Would have a better chance of selling as well reaching more of your audience than limiting it to 1 self destructing company.
