“The Oz Effect” Lenticular Covers Revealed for “Action Comics”

ComicBookResources.com has been given the first look at the lenticular covers set to be released for “Action Comics #987” and “Action Comics #988”, which make up the first two parts of “The Oz Effect” saga which begins in September.

Mr. Oz has been a mysterious figure pulling strings in Superman’s world for some months now, and his identity and plan are set to come to the fore in the upcoming story line, which will run through September, October and November. So far we have details on the first five issues of “The Oz Effect” saga.

I just think that a death of a character story, is something that they do a lot of. And then a few months to a year later they find a way to bring back the character.

Of coarse it’s still to early to tell what will happen in this issue. Maybe it’s not what I think it is.

Wait, could it be that Oz might be Superman’s father? Are they doing the Star Wars “Luke, I am your father” thing only with Oz as Vader and Superman as Luke?

These look pretty cool. I only have one minor nitpick that’s not directly attributed to the covers; I hate Lara being blond. It essentially means Kal looks nothing like his mother. I mean it can happen, I’m just not a fan of the idea.
