The CW has released an official photo of Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as Superman and Lois Lane for the upcoming “Elseworlds” crossover event.
The couple appear to be standing in the Fortress of Solitude, with Lois wearing a long flowing gown.
The special 3-night “Elseworlds” crossover event will begin in “The Flash” on Sunday, December 9 at 8.00pm ET, and then continue in “Arrow” on Monday, December 10 at 8.00pm ET, and will conclude with “Supergirl” on Tuesday, December 11 at 8.00pm ET.
I really wish they’d fix the attachments on that cape and make it look less like plastic. Other than that, this looks good. I wonder if the fortress is playing a part in the episode or if this is just a background they settled on for the pic.

Reeves didn’t have one, Cain didn’t have one (although his more natural look as Clark could have worked better for Superman), and Cavill didn’t really have one.
Routh had that “Kenny curl” going and Reeve wore a wig.
I find her gown reminiscent of Margot Kidder’s during the “Can You Read My Mind?” flying sequence.
A flowing white gown + Fortress – could there be a wedding in the crossover event?

Very Donner-esque image in a lot of ways but, man, still don’t like that suit.
Regarding a Superman show, I can’t imagine that we’ll get one, at least not with this Superman, simply because I think Tyler’s star is rising and I can’t imagine him staying in television, at least not network, for any long period of time.

The resemblance between Tyler and Bruce Campbell is still uncanny. And there is a Margot Kidder-ish vibe coming outta Ms. Tulloch’s features. Man this is gonna be good.
The suit can be fixed or tweaked with a little effort:
Get rid of the cape attachments and give him a regular cape.
Make the boots less chunky and give them the “V” cut.
Make the belt less bulky, similar material and weight as the \S/ on the chest. You don’t have to give him the trunks if you don’t want to. Make the belt similar to the one in the New 52 Earth 2 comic.
And an \S/ on the cape!
How about maybe making his suit look like the Superman reborn suit? I would also suggest making his cape be made out of a cloth material rather than the leather look. I also think raising the cape a bit would be a good idea. It’s too long in my opinion. Brighten up the suit’s colors would also be a good idea as well. Those are my only suggestions. The reborn suit would be good, which is basically what I suggested with the tweaks, except different belt.
I also liked Tyler’s Superman.
How cool would it be if they had a crisis crossover and Supergirl died making the ultimate sacrifice?
I don’t think that would work because of Supergirl’s fan base. I think that there would be alot of unhappy viewers myself included if they went that route. I don’t see them ending the series anytime soon however, when the time does come to end the series, I could see them using one of the members from the legion of superheroes to ask Supergirl for help in the future.
