DJC Filmz has posted a fan film trailer titled “Superman: World War”.
Lois and Clark are assigned to the Press Corps in France near the end of WWII, in March of 1945. Lois and her photographer, Private Donald Callahan, are kidnapped by Nazi Super Soldiers and taken as hostages to Berlin. To rescue them, Superman must stand up to Hitler’s Super Soldiers. They are more formidable than any foe he has faced previously. Opposing philosophies of what the “superman” is are explored. This film is Superman at his roots. The Director puts his own grandfather, who really was a WWII photographer, in the Jimmy Olsen role.
Look for the feature-length fan film “Supermen: World War” to be released on March 30, 2018.
The concept and set pieces are so good in this trailer that it left me wishing it was an actual legit movie.
Some of the expected trappings of a fan film stand-out (the “accctingggggg… thank YOUUUUU”… the perennially odd-fitting costumes in Superman fan films… questionable on-set microphone quality)…but excellent approach for a fan film. Looking forward to the finished product.
So is this an actual fan film that’s coming out? It said March 30, 2018.
Fact: Kevin Caliber, starring here as Clark/Superman, served as the ‘Superman stand-in’ in the pilot episode of “Supergirl” and throughout the first season. That’s him you see with the sunlight at his back when he finds Kara’s pod.
That is interesting. It’s very cool that he is staring in a fan film about superman.
I hope that there will be more Superman fan films to come out this year. I find it fascinating. Different versions of Superman made in fan films.
