According to Hollywood insider Matt Belloni via his Puck news report, the first trailer for the upcoming “Superman” movie will be released next week.
The report states that “The star of the big Superman trailer debuting next week is apparently… a dog?”, indicating that Krypto the Superdog will likely feature prominently in this first teaser for the 2025 film.

Word is that DC Studios will hold a press event on Monday, December 16 with the trailer set to be released publicly either that same day or early that week. This lines up with the previous rumor that the trailer would be positioned in front of Disney’s “Mufasa: Lion King” movie, which lands in theaters December 20.
The cast of the film, simply titled “Superman”, features David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, and Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent.
Directed by James Gunn, “Superman” is scheduled to be released July 11, 2025.
