This series premiered on ABC on 9/8/73 and ran, with changes, through 1986. This is a pair of rare 12 field hand-painted model sheet cels of Superman, as well as his alter-ego, Clark Kent. They are dated 4/12 and 4/13/73, created from Alex Toth designs, with extensive ink and paint notes and codes. These are key pieces for the creation of this show for the Ink and Paint Department. Nice image sizes of 3″ – 9″. Rare look into the early making of this Super Heroes franchise. Very Good condition.

A rare pair hand-painted Ink and Paint Size Comparison model sheet cels of Superman’s parents Jor-El and Lara, as well as one of baby Kal (Superman’s original Krypton name). It shows the destruction of planet Krypton. Jor-El was an astro scientist and member of the Science Council that reported to the Hall of Wisdom in this episode. He was voiced by Casey Kasem in this episode. Extensive ink and paint notes. The model sheet cels are dated 8/27 and 8/28. Both cels are 16″ x 12″, with nice image sizes of 6″ – 9″.
