I like it. It certainly is keeping true to his appearance instead of that DC COLLECTIBLES black suited short hair version. I might be in the minority here but I’m one of those very few people who liked the mullet back then.

Hahahaha well said. Though the mullet kinda reminded me with the one Mel Gibson had in the lethal weapon series…or Brian Bosworth hahaha

That always depended on the artist. He’d either have a more of a Kurt Russel, Patrick Swayze mullet where it’s kinda long all around or that Brian Bosworth Billy Ray Cyrus effect where the party is all in the backyard.

Riiiiigghhhhttttt. Kurt und Patrick do come to mind. But hands down the best artists for the mullet were Jon Bogdanove and Tom Grummet in my opinion

I think Tom Grumett handled it best. I never liked the look at all but for me his rendition worked about as well as it was ever going to. Though Clark with a ponytail just made him look like Duncan McLeod wearing glasses. (Hey the guy who played Richie Ryan would have made a good Jimmy Olsen.)

I can only concur. Stan Kirch would have made a great Jimmy Olsen. For crying out loud why didn’t I think of the highlander reference!? Aaaahhhh the 90s had good television. Highlander. Baywatch. Renegade. Lois and Clark. X Files and so on. Good times

I heard a rumor that they’re making a fifth lethal weapon movie. Hope that they bring back the mullet. X-D
I thought that it was a hair style that worked for Superman during that time period as well. Although I’m very glad that it wasn’t a permanent look for him. 🙂

You’re right about the lethal weapon 5 rumours. Mel Gibson. Danny Glover and Richard Donner will be back. By the end of part 4 Riggs and Cole already had a baby. He would be in his early 20s if he’s added to the fold. Well the 1990s were a time for cooler and edgier comics and Superman with the mullet was no exception. It just fits the times back then. Of course it was inevitable to have his regular haircut back. Just like it was inevitable to revert him back to his old Super Self after getting new powers and… Read more »

But I don’t think Mel’s Mullet will be back. He had it cut away by part 4 already.
