“the end of this issue changes the lives of Superman and his family forever”

That gives me dread, and not in a “what’s going to happen next?” kind of way.

That cover with what appears to be an angry Jon sure makes me nervous. Let’s hope we’ve got a misleading cover.

Believe me, the front covers of Superman REBIRTH #23 and #24 were misleading as they featured a leading character that did NOT appear in the actual issue. >_>

But then, considering that Jon had been lied or kept away from his powers/heritage from his over-protective father (which would no doubt cause controversy between child & parent) I guess he’d have every right to be a wee angry at his daddy.
Nobody’s perfect. Not even the Man of Steel. I think that’s what makes anyone Human.

I have no desire to see or pay money for a grimdarked Jon who hates his father.

He doesn’t, dude. He still loves his father as he gave him a hug at the end of MoS#6.
It’s just that he seems to feel that he deserves better than the average child since he’s an extraordinary individual who can perform amazing things & Supes kinda hid them from his boy. Kind of a drag, huh?
Heck, Damian is just a regular kid and he got the whole 9 yards in terms of experience. A violent, blood-thirsty life, yes, but you get the idea. =p
