Hmmmm
I don’t know about this one. I think I’ll wait and see what others have to say about this animated feature before I decide to see it. I recently saw Bright Burn…….
I regret seeing it.

I don’t know. I guess curiosity got the better of me. I guess it’s true what they say. Some things you just can’t unsee. And man do I wish that I could unsee Bright Burn. I regret seeing that film.

I saw Bright Burn a couple of weeks ago. NOT IMPRESSED. It’s low budget was obvious. All they spent money on was a couple of gruesome special effects. But anybody that would call that a comparison to Superman is nuts. Aside from being a child and the space ship, I found NOTHING “Superman” about it. I gave it a C+ just because even with the low budget they managed to make a movie that you could at least watch.

If anything, it’s pretty much a Superboy prime movie…….. I so wish that I didn’t see this film.

I like the “art design.” I hope the animation is nice and fluid. Also, I’m looking forward to seeing Superman and Brainiac’s interaction in this movie.

There has been an improvement in art quality as of late, Batman: Hush had a much better anatomical proportions than previous entries and the animation wasn’t bad. There was still a choppiness to some of the movement, but it was alright. They still made stupid and needless changes to the comic plot though. I fear that Red Son will have a similar issue.

I agree with you, JasEl. I’m worried about them making changes to the original comic book plot as well. I’ll accept subtle changes, but I’m not in favor of full-blown changes or cutting out important plot elements entirely.

Totally agree! I thought Hush was one of their better efforts. Saw that twice and liked it both times. There is a new Wonder Woman that’s on the way and that looks pretty good as well. I’m not sure why they can’t give us good Superman story. Everything has to be some off the wall version. Either all about death and now this.

My only real problem with Hush was changing the villain from @#$%^& to #$%^&( I don’t want to spoil it, but you know what I mean). It served no purpose and costs us a more engaging villain

I really enjoyed the Red Son comic, while slightly darker, Superman was still inherently good, but I’m afraid with DC’s movie proclivities for going grim and gritty they might deviate from that and just make him evil.

That’s the thing with the DC animated movies: while some remain true to the source material, they always add a little bit of spice to their ingredients. And yet I keep enjoy watching them. And I am looking forward for Red Son and Man of Tomorrow after that.

I’m sure this might be done OK BUT….they keep giving us death Superman, now communist Superman. The last good Superman adventure that was done pretty well was Superman Unbound. It would make seeing these off the wall story line(s) easier to watch if they’d made a couple of “normal” Superman adventures. I hope we get that sometime in the near future. For me at least, I really don’t care for these bizarre versions.
