Superman Movie & TV Props Sell at Live Auction

Crystal

Props from various Superman movies and television shows have fetched impressive prices at the recent Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction in Los Angeles.

The “Superman: The Movie” Fortress of Solitude Crystal from the 1978 film is made of clear resin and features uneven pointed ends. There are minor signs of wear from production use, including light surface scratches and scuff marks. The prop was estimated to sell for between US$2,000-$3,000 but ended up going for a whopping US$11,000.00.

Other items in the auction included Lex Luthor’s (Kevin Spacey) Kryptonite Shard from “Superman Returns,” which sold for US$6,000, while the Space Station Prometheus Model Miniature from the pilot episode of “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” TV series is expected to fetch between US$6,000-$8,000 with a starting bid of $3,000. That auction is still open to bidders.
