“Superman & Lois” Season 2 Interviews

Ahead of tonight’s first episode of Season 2 of “Superman & Lois,” the cast participated in a number of interviews to promote the show’s return.

Speaking with KTLA5, Elizabeth Tulloch and Tyler Hoechlin spoke about the tension between Lois and Clark at the start of Season 2.

While showrunner Todd Helbing told TVline.com that things will be a little more complicated for Superman when it comes to the DOD, now that his father-in-law General Lane has retired.

“Sam Lane had done that job forever, and he obviously has all of the benefit of knowing who Superman really is, that he’s married to his daughter, their history, all of that. He can get away with things and hide things in a way that someone coming in who doesn’t know that secret wouldn’t be able to do. We’re playing all of that in conjunction with the idea that if you have someone like Superman at your disposal, and you’re a country, you want that person fighting for you.”

Helbing tells TVinsider.com that even though Jenna Dewan is reprising her role as Lucy Lane, Lois’ sister, this isn’t the same version of Lucy we saw on the “Supergirl” TV series back in Season 1 of that series.

“We were able to do that thanks to the blanket of Crisis, which sort of rewrote characters. I don’t wanna give away too much, but I’ll say she is the complete opposite of Lois. Like, Lois is very secure in her marriage to Clark and as a mother to the boys, and in her job. Lucy is none of those.”

Titled “What Lies Beneath” the first episode of Season 2 of “Superman & Lois” is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Tuesday, January 11 at 8.00pm ET/PT.

I’m not blind to whatever flaws it has, but Superman & Lois has become a show for me to watch, especially after its first season debuted.
