The CW has released the official promo trailer for the sixth episode of Season 2 of “Superman & Lois”.
Titled “Tried and True” this episode is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Tuesday, March 1 at 8.00pm ET/PT.
AMY JO JOHNSON (“FELICITY”) DIRECTS
Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) tells Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) that she and Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) plan to do a deeper dive into the Inverse Society and Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) try to comfort each other after the fallout at Sarah’s quinceañera. Meanwhile, Jordan (Alex Garfin) notices something suspicious in Jonathan’s (Jordan Elsass) book bag. Lastly, Lt. Mitch Anderson (guest star Ian Bohen “Teen Wolf”) finds himself under fire for the deterioration of the department of defense’s relationship with Superman. Dylan Walsh, Erik Valdez, Wole Parks, Tayler Buck also star.
The episode was directed by Amy Jo Johnson and written by Max Kronick & Patrick Barton Leahy.
I still hope that Supergirl will appear in Superman/Lois down the road. I also hope that Insect Queen and Lucy Lane as Superwoman also down the road.
Please don’t think I’m being disrespectful. I mean no disrespect when I say this, but as much as I like seeing Superman team up with Supergirl, I just don’t think that Supergirl showing up could work. I just think it would mean making Superman play second fiddle to his cousin on his own show. And Tyler’s Superman has come a long way since being in his cousin’s shadow. If she were to show up, there could be the issue of making Supergirl more important or better than Superman all over again and on his own show. And that might damage… Read more »
On Supergirls show, I think it was fine that she was portrayed as the primary hero and even the stronger of the two (maybe her body absorbs the yellow sun more efficiently). Did they over do it at times? Without a doubt. While I loved Supergirl, the writers had a bad habit of hitting you over the head with there point (repeatedly). Having said that, I think it does a disservice to both shows to pretend she doesnt exist. If they wanted Superman and Lois to be in a separate timeline then they shouldn’t have had Diggle show up. I’m not against a reference for cousin Kara here and there from time to time, but for her to show up wouldn’t make sense to me. Besides the risk of making Superman look like a “jobber” to Supergirl again( and I really don’t like that term for Superman),I just think it would also raise to many problematic questions as to why she would show up. For example, where was she during Morgan Edge’s attempt at taking over the world with his reborn Kryptonians? Superman could’ve used her help then I would think. I hate to pick on this but, the rank if Lt Mitch Anderson is Lt Gen Mitch Anderson. There are at least seven pay grades between those to ranks in the US Army I know you’re in Australia but c’mon.
