Superman IV: Unseen Deleted Scene Metro Club After Hours

A Price Production has put together a scene for “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace” from footage which many believed to have been lost or questioned whether it was ever filmed at all.

What you’re about to watch is a recording of the pivotal sequence deleted from “Superman IV” of the Metro Club sequence with the date between Clark Kent and Lacy Warfield, featuring the first public appearance of Nuclear Man 1.

This re-edit version by Aaron Price was a collaboration with Martin Lakin, with music tracks by Paul Fishman, replacing the temp music in the sequence. Aaron explains, “I had to remove the music from the dialogue as best as I could with the material.”

“There are a couple of new shots and VFX I have done with the best I can do with the quality of the VHS footage…”

Here is a list of new VFX and shots:

Nuclear Man 1 now develops a blue electrical aura and sparks in moments of emotion, giving a little more to his character and how he’s more flawed than his later counterpart.

Unlike the original edit where Clark simply blows the couple outside on to the dance floor. He know uses Superspeed to take them inside.

“Two other new shots include, a new shirt rip which was me ripping open my shirt revealing the emblem on a green screen… composited in with a new 3D shot of Superman running down to the exit with a speed trail. In the unedited version, we simply see Clark going through one door and exiting another as Superman. “

You can find an unedited version of the video on YouTube.
