“Superman IV: The Quest For Peace” Extended Cut Full Fan Trailer

Superman fan and filmmaker Aaron Price of A Price Productions has released his fan trailer for his proposed extended cut of the film “Superman IV: The Quest For Peace”.

While Warner Bros currently has no plans to release an official “Superman IV” 134 minute cut extended blu-ray release, Aaron is hopeful the studio will relent to fan pressure.

He writes, “Finally got together a fan made trailer release for what WB could do with Superman IV special edition release of the 134 minute cut in the near future.”

“I’ve integrated some clips from some of my restored clips in the trailer, literally every part of this was created, edited by myself including the voice over. I’m hopeful that one day soon I’ll get the opportunity to do a complete proper restoration of the film using the films original elements. Please like, comment and share and share my petition if you haven’t already.”

This looks Amazing! It looks like it could be the best version of Superman IV. I like it! I want to see this! Please make this version happen WB! 😀
And the way Nuclearman looks glowing with energy makes him look terrifying. This is how he should have always looked. Wow! Just Wow! Congratulations to Aaron Price for making this fantastic fan edit! I fully support that this version be made! 😀
Let’s see Christopher Reeve fly again as Superman!

Your welcome general_zod. I want to say again, that the way that Nuclearman looks with glowing energy radiating from his skin and glowing red eyes makes him so much more terrifying and menacing looking. From the looks of this trailer, it makes more sense now as to why Superman got so sick after he was scratched on his neck by Nuclearman’s nails. He was also exposed to all of that radiation that was radiating from Nuclearman’s skin from their fight. I hope that this cut of Superman IV will be made someday soon. Because I really want to see it.… Read more »

I like this a lot. I’ve always thought Superman IV had an interesting story and the film could’ve been so great with a higher budget and other things. When I found out that there were so many scenes cut, (especially scenes of character development) I always wished that we could get an extended directors cut. So hopefully someday we can see a directors cut like “The Richard Donner Cut of Superman II” and “The Zack Snyder Cut of Justice League.”

Thank you GodzillaofSteel 🙂 many of the deleted scenes if were put back in would make a much better story and film.

I used to hold out hope that the extended version still existed somewhere and it would somehow fix a lot of narrative (if not visual) problems with the film. But after the “deleted scenes” section on the 2006 DVD release was clearly sourced from 16mm prints that were probably used for dailies (temp music and unfinished effects, like worse than the rest of the movie), I’m inclined to now think the original version does in fact no longer exist. Somebody with a lot of time on their hands and talent could probably build an extended version from the ground up… Read more »

afriend, I can promise you, from someone I know that has some connections with WB. They do indeed have all the original deleted footage. The deleted footage that was put on the DVD’s back in 2006 was a rough dailies print version.

However due to copyright issues with the music in the Metro Club. Before it was cleared for the soundtrack release is why it wasn’t included. Sometimes studio’s will put rough dailies on disc instead. So people can’t make their own cut of the film… in case studio’s may plan a release in future. 🙂

First..that was done well. Second, it’s a crying shame they didn’t have the money to have made this properly. You go back to “3” that had a budget but turned out a turkey plot. Here you had what could have been a decent story but no money. Just the opposite.
