I can’t stand the Hoechlin portrayal of Superman – boring, two-dimensional and drained of all nuance and interest, with a truly terrible costume. If that’s the best TV Superman we can get, then it’s no wonder they don’t want to give him a show of his own. Give us ‘Man of Steel 2’.
Who did you have in mind – the guy from Smallville? Look. The only reason a TV series isn’t happening is because the Warner Bros. movie division has an embargo on the Superman character. That’s why we only saw him in three episodes of Supergirl last season, and unless there’s something really big planned we haven’t heard about, it doesn’t look like he’ll be appearing at all this season. However, this version of the character is indeed a stark 180-degree turn from the DCEU version. He’s not as brooding, he actually enjoys what he does, he treats everyone with respect… Read more »
I really liked the scene where Kara and Clark were talking about Clark’s parents and Krypton before their flight at the end of episode 1 of season 2.
I liked that to Spidey. From Clark’s perspective most of what he knows about Krypton is like reading a history book or hearing stories from relatives (holographic ones at least) whereas Kara lived it. I actually really wanted them to show a scene where they are having that conversation.
I also enjoyed the little hints of spoken Kryptonian we’ve gotten on the show. The “tao-sha” thing was beautiful. (Have no idea how it’s actually spelled.)
I would like to see Superman and Supergirl talk about Kal-el’s parents as well Mattcomics.I’m also hoping for more Kryptonian language for the show. It’s so interesting to hear. I hope that when Superman returns,( because I believe he will return) Supergirl and Superman will have a conversation in Kryptonese or Kryptonian. I’m not sure what the proper term for the Krypton language is.
I liked his portrayal of Superman. It was different from the movie version and I was totally fine with it. I enjoyed him in the first 2 episodes and his role at the end of season 2 of Supergirl.
That team up of when Superman and Supergirl saved that shuttle in episode 1 of season 2 was so cool. I really liked that part.
