What is amazing to me is that WW has somehow been credited with being in a position that put’s it in some upper category above MoS and BvS. Well guess what……it’s not. It’s a good movie but it’s ridiculous to assume that it comes across as, “that’s how it should be done”.

Isn’t the main problem that not only were Man of Steel and BvS panned/controversial with critics and the general audience but that Superman fans didn’t like them either?

I haven’t heard many Wonder Woman fans coming out and saying they didn’t like the movie or that the character was done a disservice.

I’ve heard numerous Superman fans complain about his treatment in both Man of Steel and BvS.

Wonder Woman has succeded simply by the fact that it is not divisive. Everybody likes it to some extent.

In this superficial day and age movies get put on certain pedestals even before they’re out. Case in point. Look what has happened to the Mummy. Torn apart by the critics. A lot of people that haven’t even seen it have more negativity to say about Tom Cruise than the actual movie. WW got the “pass”… Read more »

I should clarify what I meant. What I was trying to say was that with the other DCEU movies there were people who liked them and people who didn’t. There was a significant split in audience response to the movies. Either strongly positive or strongly negative. Not everyone who liked Wonder Woman neccessarily thinks it’s one of the best movies ever. It’s just there’s pretty much nobody out there who hated it or it’s treatment of the character. Man of Steel and BvS have a lot of people who liked and even loved them. However they also have a lot… Read more »
