“Superman” Flies to #2 on Streaming Charts in its Second Week

James Gunn’s “Superman” movie jumped to #2 in the Top 10 Movies list on Nielsen’s streaming rankings for the week of September 22-28, 2025, racking up an impressive 569 million minutes of watch time on HBO Max.

The film jumped ahead of Disney+’s “Elio” (350M minutes), while “KPop Demon Hunters” (which is Netflix’s most-watched film in the streaming company’s history) held the top spot with 746 million minutes.

These Nielsen figures track viewing on TV sets only in the U.S., meaning Superman’s actual global viewership across all devices is likely much higher.
