Superman fan and filmmaker Andrew List has edited together a trailer titled “Superman Multiverse”.
Andrew tells the Superman Homepage, “I was recently challenged with making a FAN EDIT (using existing movies/TV shows to make a Superman Multiverse trailer) and I did it!”
Andrew has previously produced other Superman fan films, titled “Hope,” “Golden Child” and another based on “Kingdom Come”.
I thought this one was OK, seen better to be honest. The cuts really didn’t make it look like there were Supermen talking or in action together. There were just ones talking, then a cut to another Superman or another Superman answering for most part. The same with Lex. It was interesting, and fun to watch, but still, it didn’t look like it was seamless or looked like it could be trailer for a possible movie, unlike other fan made clips I’ve seen. Or to me it seemed that way.
That stupid line about how “no one stays good in this world” took me right out of it but I guess it’d sound more plausible coming from a strange alt. world Superman rather than the one we’re supposed to be currently following and rooting for.
So when you bring all the different versions of Superman together they hate each other and get a Highlander type mentality of “there can only be one?”
I’m guessing all the Batmen show up to take all the Superman down and save the Multiverse for the sequel.
I’m sure there is another universe out there where Snyder made a good Superman movie and there is an amazing movie where Superman and Batman first meet on the silver screen that didn’t suck.
Roll on the day when Warners tire of Snyder’s Superman efforts. Not great at all. Time for new direction but paying homage to success in past!
