Superman writer Brian Michael Bendis has announced via Twitter that a TV commercial promoting the Superman comic books will be airing in the USA towards the end of the American summer.
He wrote, “Just approved a cut of the TV commercial DC Comics is gearing up for our Superman titles this summer. It’s the kind of promotion stores have been asking publishers to do for years. So exciting!”

On the back of their recent Walmart promotion, promoting comic books on television, especially Superman comic books, is a great idea if the publisher wants to try reach readers outside their already established fan base.
