In the latest Superman Homepage Member Poll we asked you the following question:
What Superman related story/script would you like to see adapted into an animated movie?
With 35% of the votes, “Kingdom Come” is easily the favorite choice amongst fans, hands down. No other story came close, with “Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?”, “Superman: Red Son”, “Superman Lives”, “Superman For All Seasons”, and “Crisis on Infinite Earths” all getting a similar number of votes, but well below that of “Kingdom Come”.

We haven’t had a Superman animated movie since the 2015 “Justice League: Gods and Monsters”, and even that wasn’t a “real” Superman story. You really have to go back to “Superman: Unbound” in 2013 for the last proper Superman animated film. Looking ahead, Warner Bros. Animation has announced that we will be getting a faithful two-part adaptation of the “Death of Superman” and “Reign of the Supermen” comic book saga.
But what else could they do? While Superman fans have spoken in the poll above, here’s a few other classic stories people want to see realized.

It’s the reason why I didn’t vote Kingdom Come.
And we get Death of Superman again instead. Yawn.
I’m glad we’re getting a faithful adaptation of the “Death And Return Of Superman.”
However, I’d prefer an animated adaptation of “Superman Unchained.”
But at least we’re getting another Superman animated film next year!
I’d prefer to see the following adaptations come into fruition:
Exile.
Bryan Singer’s unmade sequel.
Justice League Mortal. Superman Vs. Aliens.
Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey.
For Tomorrow.
That’s my wish list.
I think I voted for “other”, but I didn’t have a specific one in mind. There are many Superman stories that could use the exposure, because they’re really good and the wider public has no idea about them.
Or they could do an original one. Half the time they are practically remaking the stories anyway, may as well come up with something new.
