Stephen Amell has posted a photo on his Twitter account showing Supergirl and Superman standing side by side during filming for The CW’s upcoming superhero crossover event titled “Elseworlds”.
Melissa Benoist and Tyler Hoechlin can be seen with their backs to the camera, both wearing their traditional blue and red costumes.
With Amell having previously released a photo of Hoechlin wearing a totally black version of the Superman suit, there was speculation amongst fans that we might not see Superman in his classic colors. This new photo alleviates those concerns.
The special 3-night “Elseworlds” crossover event will begin in “The Flash” on Sunday, December 9 at 8.00pm ET, and then continue in “Arrow” on Monday, December 10 at 8.00pm ET, and will conclude with “Supergirl” on Tuesday, December 11 at 8.00pm ET.
I’m so excited to be seeing them team up again soon. I can’t wait for this!
Cool! Glad to see them teaming up and with the red and blue. Does still leave the question of if or not the black suited Superman in from an alternate Earth or an alternate outfit that Tylers Superman gets in the story at some point.
It’s a great shot by itself because it makes you wonder what the hell is supposed to be coming at them down that street.
I saw a behind the scenes video on YouTube where Superman, Supergirl, and the flash are fighting some BIG bad guy. There was no way to tell who it was because the big bad was facing away from the camera. I’ll try and find the video.

hard to tell. i’m sure they’re gonna cgi the villain and remove the wooden box. but with the grey hulk look as a basis, i’m guessing doomsday…

I didn’t know how bad I wanted a SUPERMAN TV series til I started seeing these photos and the rumors started to heat up. I loved EARTH-X, and i feel like I’m going to rewatch this a bunch.
I will for sure be tuning in to the crossover…especially for the moment The Flash and Arrow switch roles. There are BTS pictures of Grant Gustin as Arrow and Stephen Amell as The Flash…IT’S A SCREAM.
