“Superman and Lois” Set Construction Photos

Smallville Set

As we reported back in September, Warner Bros. are returning once again to Cloverdale in Vancouver, Canada to film the “Superman & Lois” TV series.

A Planning & Development Report submitted to the City of Surrey was recently approved, with construction of the production set underway on the Cloverdale Fairgrounds site.

Cloverdale was also the location used for Clark Kent’s home town for the TV series “Smallville”.

Warner Bros. have leased a 7.6 acre portion of the Cloverdale Fairgrounds site, including the Cloverdale Fairground Show Barn, where the construction of a production set for the “Superman and Lois” Smallville production is nearing completion.

The current agreement with Warner Brothers is initially for three years, with the potential for a further three years.

The majority of the production set is being constructed on 17848 ‐ 64 Avenue. The set consists of paved roads with storefront facades. Some buildings such as the Gazette, Train Station and Post Office are being constructed as sets to allow for the indoor shooting of scenes in those venues. Portions of 17836 62 Avenue are also being used for parking, and trailers associated with production sets.
