Supergirl Will Wear a New Costume in Season 5

Melissa Benoist has confirmed that Supergirl will not only be wearing a new costume in Season 5 of The CW TV series, but the costume will also involve pants.

During the recent TwitchPrimes Apex Legend 2019 Crown Cup video game event, Melissa Beniost was interviewed by Kevin Smith about her video gaming, Season 5 of “Supergirl” and her upcoming marriage to co-star Chris Wood.

Smith talks about how Melissa would be freezing during the long hours shooting, swinging in a harness, bare legs in the wind… and now she’ll have a new costume with a full leg cover design.

The 5th season of “Supergirl” will premiere on Sunday, October 6 at 9.00pm.

Well, they could give her blue leggings with the red skirt. Skirt worn over tights is an actual thing in womens fashion.

I wonder when we will see the first image of the new suit. If I had to guess, probably the middle of next month.

There was a version of the costume in the early 1970s. One full body jumpsuit, that looked to be inspired by the Fantastic Four, had the S-shield placed on the belt buckle. Most of the time she was given red gloves but her red boots were always present. Don’t worry; they never forgot to include the cape in their designs.

I was hoping they would lose the stockings and put the yellow in the S-shield for a more traditional look.
