“Supergirl” Season 3 Trailer

The CW has officially released a new trailer for Season 3 of “Supergirl”.

SUPERGIRL is an action-adventure drama based on the DC character Kara Zor-El, (Melissa Benoist) Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret. Years later, Kara was living in National City and still concealing her powers, when a plane crash threatened Alex’s life and Kara took to the sky to save her. Now, Kara balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz (David Harewood), the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan). Also in Kara’s life are media mogul Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart), James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), and Mon-El of Daxam (Chris Wood), whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. As Kara struggles to navigate her relationships and her burgeoning life as a reporter, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime. Based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, SUPERGIRL is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“The Flash,” “Arrow”), Andrew Kreisberg (“The Flash,” “Arrow”), Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “The Flash”), Robert Rovner (“Private Practice,” “Dallas”) and Jessica Queller (“Gilmore Girls,” “Gossip Girl,” “Felicity”).

“Supergirl” Season 3 premieres on Monday, October 9, at 8.00pm on The CW.

October can’t come soon enough. Am I right or am I right? Supergirl is in a word “Super”. I can’t wait to see Supergirl save the day again.

I don’t know if my last post needed the ” for the word Super, but she is soo awesome as the girl of steel and I can’t think of a better word for her other than the title she’s associated with.

I have given her the title of TV’s cutest superhero. From her smile and laugh to looking good as Kara and Supergirl.

That said to be honest I am nervous for the upcoming season given last season. It’s time for a reset away from politics and social commentary.

Well said. I totally agree with you. Maybe even her cousin win fly in for an episode or two. Really looking forward to this season. I’m sill wondering if the rest of the world killers will make an appearance since reign will be in this season. I soooo can’t wait for these upcoming episodes. I’m sure at some point Dean Cain will also make an appearance. He’s soo cool. I really want to see Supergirl and Alex reunite with Jeremiah again soon.

I meant will fly in not win fly. That’s was autocorrect. Still this show is looking great.

I agree with you. Make it “Supergirl” again and not super politically correct, super dull relationships, super waste of good characters, and super stupid!

We will see. I hope I’m wrong but I’m willing to bet that a lot of this season is going revolve around her in environments which she will have no need for her powers and it will be a drama fest. I for one don’t want flash backs, more stupid relationships(straight and gay), and especially any more Superman abuse. Again…I hope I’m totally wrong.

I agree 100% of what you said. If Superman is going to be a weaker sidekick or second fiddle, then I don’t want to see him on the show. What they should do is lure Michael Rosenbaum to the show as Lex Luthor, which would boost the show tremendously. There is no one on the show with Michael’s charisma.

I hope for Season 3 that Supergirl drops all of the politically correct and boring garbage that ruined a lot of the second season. It is still so silly with all the aliens from other planets frequenting in shadow bars. If it were not for Mon-El, played great by Chris Wood, Season 2 would have been nearly unwatchable. And enough that Supergirl is superior to Superman. They don’t realize it, but most fans of the show are SUPERMAN FANS! Let’s get with more action and stop the boring sidebar love stories. I don’t care if her sister is gay, I… Read more »
