I like Mon-el’s new suit. Looks “Super”.

I’m guessing that Winn designed and made Mon-el’s new suit based on superman’s suit.

Having that vauge outline of the shield just makes it look like a cosplay malfunction. Like his emblem fell off while going between hotels at Dragon Con.

Mon-el looks like he got a left over Superman suit that got recolored. Including the big patch where they took off the S-shield. Why is Kara the only one with a cape attachment that doesn’t look ridiculous.

His black suit also had the shield outline, but I agree… the fact that it’s there makes it look like there should be something else there. And the cape attachment is just confusing, I don’t understand the design choice at all.

It seems to be a weird way of replicating the way the cape attaches in the comics where it has squared edges to it. (I also think the design might be a bit of a shout out to the way Supergirls 80s pre-crisis costume looked). Sometimes in the comics even the collar of Superman’s suit is more of a square or rectangle than a crew neck. On Superman’s suit though they should be having it overlaping the sides of the collar rather than being set away from the collar on the shoulders. On Mon El it kind of works. As… Read more »

It’s not just the outline, it also has those little tabs, like something is supposd to be attached there

Wow, I actually really like that Mon-El suit… That’s not bad.

I like how they made Mon-el’s character this season. Last year I was getting the impression that they were making him a substitute Superman. He was wearing glasses at one point, and he even referred to himself as the “other Superman”. I didn’t like part. I know that his suit is similar to superman’s this season, however he’s not trying to act like Superman this year. I understand that he will still act heroic, and I’m happy about that. I just don’t want them to make him the unofficial Superman. I like Tyler’s Superman. He did a good job. As… Read more »

Just wanted to make a correction to one of my comments. When I posted they should have opted for doing an \S/ shield badge on the side of Mon-El’s costume I said “traditional” but he only had that for a specific time in the comics. Not sure why I was thinking that was a usual design element for him. (Maybe I mixed it up with his having the Legion symbol on his belt or something?) Anyways, apologies for the error.

Suit looks pretty reminiscent of the comics as I remember. But now he’s going to train Supergirl???? What are his powers again?? Throughout his entire time on this show he really hasn’t displayed any definable powers.

I think he has super strength and invulnerability. And maybe super leap? I don’t know if thats the right description for that superpower. As for Mon-el training supergirl, this is just a guess but I think maybe since he was in the future, he learned some things from the legion of superheroes? I don’t know. I think time travel plots can be a bit confusing.
