“Supergirl” Flying Solo in Official Season 3 Poster Image

The CW has released the first official poster image for Season 3 of “Supergirl”.

With the words “Flying Solo”, Kara Zor-El hovers amongst a grey lightning-filled sky, with the “S” symbol behind her.

At the end of Season 2 we saw Mon-El forced to leave Earth, leaving Kara heart-broken. We know from Season 3 promos that the Maid of Might feels the need to abandon her Kara Danvers persona to concentrate on just being Supergirl.

“Supergirl” Season 3 premieres on Monday, October 9, at 8.00pm on The CW.

The promo art always washes her out to the point where she doesn’t look like herself.

I can see your point on how there is something off about how she looks. It’s probably the dark tones on her suit. Maybe a brighter shade of red? Maybe the theme of the image has to do with the fact that Mon-el left and Supergirl is questioning her Earth identity because of it. I’m still looking forward to the season though.

She doesn’t look as confident as her previous seasonal promo photos I think. Whoever photographed her could’ve done a better job now that I look at it. I mean its not horrible looking, but there have been better past promo photos of her.

They seem to always run the promo art through the Snyder filter even though the show’s own look is not as severe.

Yeah, I wish that they would stop using the Snyder filter too. It makes me think of mud, and it takes away from the heroic look of Supergirl.

-1 eh? Just saying that a filtered look, looks like mud. Supergirl still looks like Supergirl though. And that’s a plus.
