“Supergirl” and “Krypton” Nominated for 2019 Saturn Awards

Nominations for the 45th annual Saturn Awards were recently announced, and both Supergirl and Krypton have received nominations in different categories.

Supergirl has been nominated in the “Best Superhero Television Series” category, up against Arrow, Black Lightning, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Gotham, and Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger.

Melissa Benoist has once again been nominated in the “Best Actress on a Television Series” category, while David Harewood has been nominated for “Best Supporting Actor on a Television Series”. Jon Cryer, who appeared as Lex Luthor on Supergirl, received a nomination for “Best Guest Starring Performance on a Television Series” category.

Krypton received a nomination for “Best Science Fiction Television Series”, with The 100, Counterpart, Doctor Who, Manifest, The Orville, Roswell, New Mexico, and Westworld all up for the same award.

Cameron Cuffe, who plays Seg-El on Krypton, has been nominated for the “Best Performance by a Younger Actor on a Television Series”.

The 45th annual Saturn Awards will be handed out on September 13 in Burbank, CA.
