According to EW.com, Sofia Hasmik (Mad About You) has been cast in a recurring guest role for the upcoming “Superman & Lois” TV series.
Hasmik has been cast in the role of Chrissy Beppo, a journalist for the Smallville Gazette who “has a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time”.
The official description for her character describes her as “a go-getter with dreams of bigger and better things, a chance encounter with her idol changes her life trajectory.”
Why Chrissy has the same surname as a certain Monkey from the comic books is anyone’s guess.
Starring Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch in the title roles, production for the “Superman & Lois” TV series is scheduled to begin this month for a January 2021 premiere on The CW.
Interesting. Looking forward to seeing what her story is.
Chrissy….Beppo. Huh?
Did they just put comicbook references in a hat and pull one out while blindfolded? I guess we’ll also meet Jake Krypto.
lol, or bizzaro jones. perhaps even metallo smith☺
Neal Zod.
C’mon…someone had to suggest it.
or
Gary Darkseid…an insurance actuary from Toledo, Ohio. And in reference to Mark Twain’s The Mysterious Stranger…”no, I’m not that Darkseid, he’s my uncle. It’s an old family name.”
My apologies to persons on these forums who are insurance actuaries or are from Toledo, Ohio. Or both.
As long as you don’t bring up Michigan State vs Ohio State sports teams…all is well hehehe
I mean, yeah, that’s pretty much how they operate in these shows. Lore is fodder for iconic adult characters dealing with teenager challenges.
Hmmm…Miranda Comet… Mike Titano …. Myron Mongul…. Judy Maxima… LOL the list would be never ending!!
Gilbert Mxyzptlk. With the one and only Gilbert Gottfried reprising the role from Superman: TAS.
Streaky Catsmith….a former cat owner, and a lackey of Jean De Saad, a Moroccan business man with a penchant for human suffering, is closely monitored by Wolfgang Comet, a private eye who is addicted to horse racing and mostly losing money instead of gaining it, and also has a crush on Supergirl. Little does he know that he is hired by Oleksander Titanov, a world wide known gorilla hunter, who has his own agenda for toppling big landmark buildings of Metropolis. His rival is Songül Mongöl, a Turkish billionaire who dreams of building Warworld, the biggest video game open world… Read more »
Does anyone remember Bill Zarro?
Lol! A little funny reference to the 1980’s-1990’s Superboy series. 😀
I wonder if we will get to see anyone with the last name Thorul? Lol 😀
Looking forward to this series. 🙂
Of cooooouuuurrrssssse we do hehehehee aaahh the memories
Oh no I can see it now. “Bill Zarro takes over as new managing editor of the Planet. Lois finds him mysterious yet familiar”.
….and when the identity is almost about to be revealed in the first season’s final episode, some major catastrophe occur and next you’ll see a caption that says:
To be continued….
Maybe a meteor is about to crash on Metropolis, and it’s Kryptonite. So Superman gets sick trying to stop it but is unable to stop it, but it somehow gets destroyed while Superman passes out. Meanwhile at the daily planet, editor Bill Zarro is missing. And it turns out he’s actually Bizarro, since he’s not affected by green Kryptonite. Maybe they could do a Jekyll and Hyde story for him. He’s a messed up clone of Superman that turns into Bizarro when there’s green Kryptonite around. He looks human when there’s no kryptonite around, but since he’s a imperfect clone,… Read more »
Definitely with lots of potential and sounds like lots of fun while playing it inside the head
That actually sounds really interesting. I’d watch that. I like mysteries. 🙂
One of my favorite episodes of Superboy. 🙂
It’s about time for a rewatch
That’s a great idea! 😀
All I have to do is heat up some popcorn, and watch the Superboy dvd collection I have and I’m good to go. I could watch it on a weekly basis till Superman and Lois starts. Two episodes a week sounds about right. 🙂
I’d binge watch until I fall asleep hahaa
