Reports are that Allison Mack, best known to Superman fans as Chloe Sullivan on the TV series “Smallville”, has been arrested for her role in recruiting slaves into a pyramid scheme.
Mack was second in charge behind alleged sex cult leader Keith Raniere, federal prosecutors said in an indictment unsealed against her today.
Arrested by the FBI in Brooklyn, the 35-year-old actor forced women to have sex with Raniere under threat of having damaging information about them released. FBI officials described it as an “inconceivable crime.”
Both Raniere and Mack face charges of sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy, for which they could receive 15 years to life in prison.

Ugh. Of course, I do not condone such wickedness, but I pray that the lives of the people (the victims and the perpetrators) be restored and restitution comes out of this. May God have mercy!
I lost all my respect for Ms. Mack, I haven’t watch Smallville in a long time, may never will again due to her sinful and evil ways. I hope she’ll realize what she did was wrong, and change to a better person.
She isn’t dumb, she knows what she was doing, this is who she is. And yeah, watching Smallville now will forever be tainted for me as well.

Neither did I. And yet, I remember her very much from my years of watching Smallville.
Sadly, this is all true. I’ve been following this story for a while now and knew it was only a matter of time. It was when her name disappeared from a recent comic con in New Jersey that I knew this finally caught up to her.
I don’t even know what to say about this. I was hoping this would end up being false,but there’s no denying this now…
What a sad story. Such a still young star to mess up her life and career for the sake of unnecessary personal gain and non-logical beliefs. First Sam Jones III with his drug trouble and now her. Maybe in a slightly less bizarre and vile circumstance it would be easier to separate Allison Mack from Chloe Sullivan, after all it’s not the character that did these things. But as it is it casts a pall over her character. (Makes stuff like her covering for Davis in Season 8 play even weirder than it already was.)
She apparently joined up with this thing while she was on the show and Lana’s actress was part of it at one point. Did any of the producers or fellow cast members know this was happening?

This story is all over the place. I wonder how much of it is really true and how much is FAKE and distorted reporting. Seems a tad(or lot) unreal to me.

Unfortunate. Have not watched Smallville in a long time, but still enjoy listening to the opening title from time to time. Unless she can prove her innocence, I will continue to not watch Smallville which is a real bummer. Smallville was the reason why I became a member of the Superman Homepage.
Is this the Smallville curse? First Pete Ross goes to jail for pushing prescription drugs, and now this with Chloe… What a waste!
Just heartbreaking. It seems she felt no responsibility or care for her place in the lives of all the Smallville fans, and now she’s trashed the legacy of it. This is why we can’t have nice things.
