One of the many reasons I enjoy the secret identity is the shirt rip. I think it’s always a cool and awesome thing to have that sense of transformation going from the heroes ordinary forms or guises into being superheroes. Obviously Clark’s transformation is not literal in sense of Billy Batson saying “SHAZAM!” but I think it’s the same kind of moment, the same energy that gets you hype for seeing the hero in action and adds a bit to the wish fulfillment. Something that always comes to my mind is that Superman doesn’t need boots. Due to the nature of his powers, a simple pair of socks (with something slightly hard at the bottom but not as much as a shoe sole) would be the most logic choice. His invulnerability aura will protect them as it does with the rest of the suit and he can wear them inside his normal socks. Already suited and ready to fly instantly. Looks very much inspired by the Reeve shirt rip in Superman: The Movie. The color of the tie, the hat. Even the portrait somewhat resembles Reeve. Kind of wish they just straight up tried to capture that moment, but this is still cool none the less. Definitely tempting depending on the price.

We should enjoy this image, because it is probably the last time we see it…until Bendis gets fired.
A great figure, a top 3 in my whishlist.
