Sasha Calle Supergirl Series Coming to HBO Max

Supergirl

According to That Hashtag Show, after she makes her debut in next year’s “The Flash” movie, Sasha Calle is set to move in to her own Supergirl series on HBO Max.

Originally intended to be in her own film after appearing in “The Flash,” it’s now being reported that the stand-alone Supergirl film will instead become a new show released on HBO Max.

According to the report on That Hashtag Show, “The show will explore her past and what makes her who she is. We’ll see her train and develop her powers. We’ll also get explanations as to how she ends up in the situation she’s in at the beginning of The Flash. Many will walk away from The Flash with questions regarding her character; the show is meant to answer those questions.”

We will keep you posted on this story as details come to hand.

Here’s hoping that this one is 10 times better than the current CW show.

Interesting. How certain are we about this? I’m a bit skeptical that WB would really make another Supergirl TV series when we have one just wrapping up.

Jordan is involved with, and we already have a Superman and Lois series on the CW which I’m a huge fan of. I only have one question and I’m pretty sure everyone knows what I’m going to ask…………..Can we please, please, please have a Brandon Routh Superman series on HBOmax??? I mean they pretty much established that Routh’s Superman is still alive and that his universe is still around after the crisis crossover happened through the multiverse. The really vague language makes it sound like this won’t be Kara, then. Interesting!

Yeah, that’s a good point. If it’s not Kara, could her name be Linda Lee or Cir-el? Or maybe she will have a name that is original for this new take on Supergirl.
