Ryan Sook Updates Superboy’s Costume for “Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium”

Artist Ryan Sook has shared his new design for Jon Kent’s Superboy costume as the Teen of Steel joins the Legion of Super-Heroes in the upcoming “Millennium” event.

Beginning with “Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #1” on sale September 18, writer Brian Michael Bendis will bring all of the DC Universe future timelines together, uniting the continuities of characters like Kamandi, Booster Gold, OMAC, Tommy Tomorrow, and the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Along the way, Jon Kent AKA Superboy, will join the LSH, as his father has done in the past (or would that be the future?), as revealed on the cover of “Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #2” posted on Twitter by Ryan Sook this past week.

He looks more like a SuperMAN.

So, what happens to Connor? What is his code name? Or will there be two Superboys?

This has the same problem that new52 Superman had, well, pretty much all the characters in the new52, an excess of stupid, pointless lines. I mean a couple seams here or there is ok, but this thing is covered in lines that only serve to muddy up the picture and obscure the musculature. And I’m not digging the boots, blue spats on top of the blue costume is just too much, plus stupid excess lines.

I love this outfit. Looks Kryptonian.
