RIP “Superman III” Actor Gavan O’Herlihy

Actor Gavan O’Herlihy, best known to Superman fans as Brad Wilson in the movie “Superman III”, passed away recently, aged 70.

The Dublin-born actor reportedly died on September 15, although no cause of death has yet been announced.

O’Herlihy appeared in many film, including the James Bond movie “Never Say Never Again” and “Death Wish 3”.

wow that’s not terribly old. I think the strength of his acting was you hated him in Superman III but respected how well he played that character. RIP

I remember first seeing him in an episode of the Amazing Spider-Man tv series in the 70’s. Where I think he played a science student at Peter’s university who came up with mist to control minds or something like that. Then of course I saw him in Superman III and later Willow. He was a good character actor and those are very much needed and very much underrated.

Yes! Arik was a knight of Galadorn who refuses to release Madmartigan from his cage when he says to him “Give me a sword and I’ll win this war for you!”

Yeah I thought it was the same actor. Sad to hear of his passing.
