REIGN OF THE SUPERMEN, the next entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Movies, debuts on Digital TODAY (January 15).

Here is an all-new clip from the film, as well as new images focusing on Cyborg Superman.

Reign of the Supermen finds Earth’s citizens – and the Man of Steel’s heroic contemporaries – dealing with a world without Superman. But the aftermath of Superman’s death, and the subsequent disappearance of his body, leads to a new mystery – is Superman still alive? The question is further complicated when four new super-powered individuals – Steel, Cyborg Superman, Superboy and the Eradicator – emerge to proclaim themselves as the ultimate hero. In the end, only one will be able to proclaim himself the world’s true Superman.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, the feature-length animated Reign of the Supermen arrives from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital starting January 15, 2019, and on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack on January 29, 2019.

The night prior on January 28, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will host the New York City premiere at the Directors Guild of America.

Looking forward to this. The last movie was good but not great. They missed an opportunity to recreate one of my favorite moments from the comic, when Doomsday is destroying the League and he tosses Booster Gold for miles. Booster is basically going to die if he crashes, but he doesn’t. Superman saves him and is like “That’s far enough Booster.” and there was literally a sense at that point in the story of “Thank God Superman is here, everything is going to be ok.” even though as fans we knew what was coming of course.

This clip makes me think of the rocket chase scene in Superman: the movie.

Good call approuty. The death of Superman and the reign of the Supermen appears to have taken some inspiration from the Reeve films. The “ you’ve got me, who’s got you?” Line Superman said to Lois in the death of Superman is reversed from what Lois said to Superman in Superman the movie. The fortress of solitude at the end of the death of Superman even looks the same as the one in Superman the movie. This scene that you have pointed out definitely looks like they have taken some inspiration from Superman the movie as well.
