Entertainment Weekly reports that Rahul Kohli, who plays Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti on The CW “iZombie” series, has been cast in the role of Jack Spheer for Season 2 of “Supergirl”.
EW.com describes Jack Spheer as “a charismatic tech genius who has spent decades working on a medical innovation that will eradicate major illnesses and change the face of the world – if it works.”
Jack comes to National City to demonstrate his technology to members of the press, including Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Snapper Carr (Ian Gomez). His arrival stirs up front page news as well as feelings in his old flame Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath).
DC Comics fans might recognize the name “Jack Spheer”, who is also known as the villain Biomax. Spheer was the CEO of Biospheer Technologies, a company that produced a plasma that could control organic tissue. Spheer mutated into a sentient form of his plasma when he was pushed into a vat by his own son.
“I’m so excited to be working on Supergirl starring as Jack Spheer,” Kohli says. “It’s given me the chance to continue my relationship with The CW as well as fulfill my goal of meeting a Kryptonian.”
Kholi will make his “Supergirl” debut in the episode titled “Ace Reporter”, which will be the 18th episode of Season 2.
