Preview Clips and Behind-the-Scenes of “Supergirl” S03E06 “Midvale”

The CW has released 2 preview clips and behind-the-scenes video for the 6th episode of Season 3 of “Supergirl” which will air tonight.

Titled “Midvale”, this episode is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Monday, November 13 at 8.00pm ET/PT.


Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) head home to Midvale for a little R&R. While there, Kara recalls a painful memory of a childhood friend’s death and how that traumatic experience brought the Danvers sisters closer together. Izabela Vidovic plays Young Kara and Olivia Nikkanen plays Young Alex in flashbacks.

The episode was directed by Rob Greenlea from a script by Eric Caitlin Parrish and Jess Kardos.

I would rate this one of the best episodes of the series. The two actresses who played teen-age Kara and Alex were perfect and you would almost think they used CGI to de-age the two adults — they were THAT good; the mannerisms, voice, inflections, all of it – PERFECT. So nice to have Helen back rather than say Mom was out of town that day. And I loved, loved the Easter Eggs — Kara mentioning that Clark has a friend name Chloe who is great with computers and has a wall of weird (nice Smallville reference) and Erica Durance… Read more »

I too noticed a lot of references of previous superman franchises. That was so cool of them to do that. I especially enjoyed the agent Noel Neil part of the episode with Erica Durance as the agent. In a way it was like she played Lois Lane again. I do have one thing to say about the superman “underwear” comment scene. It’s not a pair of underwear, they are trucks. This goes into my favorite 5 episodes of the series. The Easter Eggs were just a bonus to some gripping, emotional and in the end enjoyable TV.
