Original 1955 “Adventures of Superman” TV Script on Auction

An original TV script from the 1950s TV series “Adventures of Superman” is being sold on Ebay.

Complete with the original production cover, the script for the episode “Peril by Sea”, the fourth episode of Season 4 of the TV series starring George Reeves is 34 pages long and is in very good overall condition.

Dated 1955, the script is being sold by The Movie Wizard, who specializes in rare and collectible movie scripts, and is expected to sell for over US$1,100.

In “Peril by Sea”, Daily Planet editor Perry White (John Hamilton) decides to flex his scientific muscles and develops “Formula U183”, which will enable him to extract uranium from sea water. Villainous submarine commander Ace Miller (Claude Akins) decides to steal the formula and eliminate not only White but also the entire “Planet” staff – namely, Clark Kent (George Reeves), Lois Lane (Noel Neill) and Jimmy Olsen (Jack Larson). As Miller prepares to torpedo White’s seaside laboratory, the editor’s only hope for survival rests with Superman (who of course is also Clark Kent, but Perry doesn’t know that!)
