young-justice-s3Warner Bros. Animation has officially announced that the “Young Justice” animated series will return for a third season, after being being cancelled at the end of Season 2 back in 2013.

Production has begun on a third season that “promises new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.”

“The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us,” said Sam Register, President, Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, in a statement “We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”

Producers Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman, who created the series, will both return, but no further details have been released at this point in regards to which TV network the series will air on or what date it will premiere. Warner Bros. Animation did release a promotional poster image for “Young Justice” Season 3 along with a tentative website at www.yjs3.com.

I agree. This has a kind of Fuller House, Gilmore Girls Season 8 vibe to it, given how much time has passed. I would both prefer and trust Netflix over Cartoon Network at this point.

Words cannot describe the joy I feel!… I may have to create a new word!…
Here’s hoping that their will be more than just one extra season! I hate that marvel has a larger presence in Animation these days!
While you’re at it, please try to also bring back the new ThunderCats too… And Green Lantern Animated… Then I can live happy!

I hope they handle Superman better this time around. His reaction to Conner was a deal breaker for me during that first season.

I kind of agreed at the time, but when you consider the level of violation that comes with someone stealing your very DNA and making a new person, I kind of get his reaction. Plus, where’s the drama if they get along right off the bat? Clark and Conner were 100% brothers in Season 2.

When I first saw this news, I checked to make sure it wasn’t April first. So excited! Best animated DC show.

I’m sorry but as far as I’m concerned I didn’t find YJ to be all that interesting. Doesn’t hold a candle to the original Justice League.
