November 21, 2016: Cyborg Superman’s Identity Revealed in “Supergirl” Preview Clip

EW.com has released a second preview video clip for the 7th episode of Season 2 of “Supergirl”.

The ruthless alien-hating former head of the DEO was presumed dead – revealed via flashback last season, Jeremiah Danvers sacrificed his own life to kill Hank in a bid to protect J’onn J’onzz – but clearly was taken in by Project Cadmus and imbued with powers. (In the comics, Hank Henshaw was Cyborg Superman, but gained his powers in a different way.)

During Monday’s episode, Kara (Melissa Benoist) heads to Cadmus to save Mon-El (Chris Wood), but will instead face off with Cyborg Superman.

Titled “The Darkest Place”, this episode is scheduled to air on The CW in the USA on Monday, November 21 at 8.00pm ET/PT.

IT’S SUPERGIRL VS. CYBORG SUPERMAN

While Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) tries to clear his name after being accused of a murder committed by another vigilante, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) heads out on a solo mission to rescue Mon-El (Chris Wood) who has been captured by CADMUS. While fighting to free Mon-El, Supergirl comes face to face with Cyborg Superman.

This episode was written by Robert Rovner & Paula Yoo, and directed by Glen Winter.

You know, I have never (yes, even back in 1990) liked him just being called “Cyborg Superman”. That would have been OK for a few issues to start with, but he still needs a real name… /endrant

True. “Cyborg Superman” would imply he’s like Superman but cybernetic (which of course made sense when he debuted since he was posing as the actual Superman) rather than something that is by design an evil mockery of him.
