August 16, 2019: "Krypton" Cancelled

Syfy has decided not to pickup "Krypton" for a third season.

While the TV series received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, the ratings weren't were the network needed them to be, down about 50% in Live+Same Day for the second season.

There's speculation that Warner Horizon are looking at alternatives, with the possibility of having the series move to the DC Universe digital streaming service.

The Lobo spinoff series has also been cancelled on the back of this announcement.

Actor Cameron Cuffe, who played the lead role of Seg-El, Superman's grandfather, took to Twitter to say, "What I feel above all is gratitude.  I spent 3 years living an impossible dream.  I will always be a proud son of Krypton."

"Keep believing in a better tomorrow."
