May 19, 2016: The CW Officially Announces "Supergirl" Season 2

Supergirl The CW has officially announced that "Supergirl" Season 2 will air on Monday nights at 8.00pm.

"The Flash" remains in its 8.00pm Tuesday time slot, and with "Arrow" on at 8.00pm on Wednesdays, and "DC Legends of Tomorrow" on at 8.00pm on Thursday nights, it's a CW four night fest for fans next season.

A four-way crossover between the shows is reportedly in the works.

Interestingly, the move from CBS to The CW might not have happened, as CBS president Glenn Geller revealed that the TV network was very close to renewing "Supergirl" regardless.

"The ratings did start a little higher and they came down a bit," CBS president Glenn Geller said Wednesday morning at a press conference at the network's New York City headquarters. "I think it found the right home. It's a win-win for us. We co-own the CW and we made a great deal with Warner Bros."

Gellar added, "Who's to say if we hadn't made that deal that we wouldn't have picked it up."
