The George Reeves' Superman costume, which came with the "Flying Pan" used in the flying sequences, was expected to fetch around US$100,000-US$150,000, but actually sold for a lot higher, with the winning bid ending up at US$180,000.

Brandon Routh's Superman costume , which came complete with the boots and cape, which was expected to sell for around $15,000-$20,000, received no bids at all.

Other Superman items on auction included a First Edition of "The Adventures of Superman" novel by George Lowther, which sold for US$800.
