June 9, 2015: Casting for Fan-Made George Reeves/Superman Play

Adventures of Superman Kevin Anthony Ryan, a playwright and actor, is producing a play about the life and death of "Adventures of Superman" actor George Reeves.

Titled "The Stations of George Reeves' Cross", the play will be performed at the Warwick Community Center in New York across July 24-26.

Ryan is looking to cast 10 actors in various roles, and says there will be a marked difference between his play and the story told in the 2006 film "Hollywoodland".

"One of the main differences of that film and my depiction," said Ryan, "is that the play attempts to portray the perspective right from the viewpoint of Reeves and to create a surreal nature attempting to capture his thought processes."

According to Ryan, Lou Koza, former editor of The Adventure magazine, is the foremost Reeves' historian. He recently reviewed the play's script.

"I think it is brilliant," wrote Koza. "You may have very well cracked the Toni and Eddie code. Very well done."
