June 1, 2015: New Book - "How to be a Superhero"

How to be a Superhero A new book by Mark Edlitz titled "HOW TO BE A SUPERHERO" is available this month, examining superheroes and the actors who play them.

The book contains interviews with actors who have played DC Comics superheroes, including: Adam West, Batman; Kevin Conroy, Batman; Tim Daly, Superman; Dean Cain, Superman; Yvonne Craig, Batgirl; Julie Newmar, Catwoman; As well as actors who have played The Flash, Lex Luthor, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane and many more.

From the Marvel side of things, there are interviews with: Tom Hiddleston, Loki; Clark Gregg, Agent Phil Coulson; James Marsden, Cyclops; Lou Ferrigno, Hulk; Alan Cumming, Nightcrawler; As well as actors who have played Spider-Man, Daredevil, Howard the Duck and many more.

The book also contains: Adrianne Palicki's first full-length interview about her never-aired Wonder Woman pilot; Interviews with the cast of Roger Corman's unreleased Fantastic Four feature film; An unguarded conversation with Leonard Nimoy; Interviews with two actors who played James Bond; Interviews with two actresses who played Supergirl; Additional interviews with people (including Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee and Iron Man director Jon Favreau, Joe Quesada) who have worked behind-the-scenes to create some of the most beloved superhero characters and franchises of all time.

"How to Be a Superhero" is the first book to explore the superhero phenomenon from the actor's perspective.

David Mamet wrote the Foreword and Richard Donner and David Hayter (writer of X:Men and X2) have given it advance praise.
